Delete your Showing Mobile account

You can delete your Showing Mobile account at any time. This page describes what gets deleted, how long it takes, and how to start the process — both in-app and via email.
Quickest path: in-app
- Open the Showing Mobile app and sign in.
- Tap Settings in the bottom tab bar.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is then scheduled for permanent deletion 14 days later.
What gets deleted
After the 14-day grace period passes, the following data tied to your Firebase Authentication UID is permanently removed from our database:
- Your account record (Firebase UID linkage, phone/email, display name).
- Riders, horses, and shows you've favorited.
- Your push notification tokens and notification preferences.
- Your stored notification history.
- Any pending notifications queued for delivery to you.
- Spotlights you own (active and expired).
- Identity-merge aliases you've created.
What is kept (and why)
- Anonymized show, class, rider, and horse records. The public competition record is not personal data about you. Deleting your account removes the link between you and any rider or horse profile, but the rider/horse rows themselves remain so other users can keep browsing the historical record.
- Subscription receipts at Apple / Google. Your store subscription is between you and Apple or Google. Deleting your Showing Mobile account does not cancel an active recurring subscription. To cancel, open the App Store / Google Play app on your phone, find Showing Mobile in your subscriptions, and tap Cancel.
- Tax and accounting records. We retain transaction metadata (anonymized to your Firebase UID at the time of sale) for the period required by U.S. tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
- Backups. Encrypted database backups taken before your deletion may persist for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten by newer backups that no longer contain your data.
Deleting by email
If you can't sign in (e.g. you lost the phone tied to your account), email help@showingmobile.com from the email address on file or include the phone number you signed up with. We will verify the request and process the deletion within 30 days.
Cancel a scheduled deletion
Within the 14-day window, sign back into the app and open Settings → Account. The pending-deletion banner has a "Cancel scheduled deletion" button. Once the 14 days pass, the deletion is irreversible.
